Rabbits, Minecraft, and Apple iPhones (Life Update/Ramble)

Life is busy, and sometimes I don't always have time to write blog posts because nothing extremely interesting is happening. I have been having a great year so far and have great expectations for everything that we are going to do as a family. Here are some little pieces of news from our household:    Our rabbits are healthy and thriving (not to mention grossly obese). We have eight bunnies at the moment: S'mores - the 'alpha male' of the pack, a sourpuss and softie at the core; Honey-Bunny - the mommy, a very sweet thing; Gorgon, Destroyer of Carrots  (Jackson's rabbit, can't you tell?) - Gorgon is the big brother, and he is the only one who is fit and agile; Root Beer, Cinnabunn, Coconut, and Ghirardelli (like the chocolate brand) are the quadruplet babies who are all in their adolescent slump and moodiness stage. Finally, there is Cappuccino, who was a gift from another family and is to some extent an outcast among the bunny family.  We recently ...

Our Dixie Stampede

The strips on my costume flew out in the wind as I cantered into the arena with the other 'Indians' (who actually spoke French) and the Cowboys.  Country music sang out from the speakers and people clapped and cheered us as we circled at high speed. Masina, my horse, caught the excitement and sped up, narrowly missing Liz, a fellow (French speaking) Indian.  It's December 12, the Fete de la Noel (Party of Christmas) at Club Hippique. Me and Masina* Tristan and Lucky Luke Christianna and Mickey. Christianna is a Spanish dancer in the show, but she's not wearing her skirt in this picture. Aidan's horse, Ramses, was in use at the moment here, so we don't have a picture of him mounted. Masina was very impatient. Mom captured that perfectly here:  He would violently throw his head up and down, trying to yank the reins out of my hands. He also wanted to eat all the grass underfoot, it was very annoying. :) Christ...

Horseback Riding in HOT & HUMID Weather

I love you so much, Samurai!!* Thud .    I had to do it; I pushed forward clicking and tapping Samurai on his rump with my crop. He sped up. I raised myself to jumping position: AT THE LAST MINUTE, he swerved, heading to the right at full speed to his Arch Enemy, Volt, who my little brother was astride. Volt half reared, Samurai swerved, and I yanked the reins hard to avoid conflict, falling over Samurai's head and grabbing his mane for dear life!!!!   At the beginning of the video you can't see me, but you hear my instructor, Monsieur Arnou and my brother are yelling," Stay away from VOOOOOOOOOLT....!!" and my mother is talking with her best British accent. :) Tristan & his trusty steed, Lucky Luke.   We take riding lessons at an Equestrian Center (courtesy of GranAnnie, Thank you so much!) Today our lesson focused on jumping! Fun.  No really! ...As long as you don't fall off..... (which we have done...ow) Aidan and Volt It...
